Florencia Lucila was born and raised in Buenos Aires. Already as a child, she was captured by art and dreamt of becoming a painter or a singer. Deeply influenced by her grandfather, who taught her to play the piano, she started developing her creative side exponentially as soon as her first camera came along. Her work is focused on portraits although she has recently found out how spaces and abstract objects also have stories to tell, many of which don’t require words so as to be told. Having had a camera for so long has given her the chance to see life in a frame, being able to appreciate beauty in various manners.
She often travelled to Europe before she decided to stay and follow a different path and keep devoting her time and passion to photography. She studied at IDEP school of design and will specialise in Author Documentary Photography as she combines her studies with her job as an assistant.
